BrightHouse has recently installed cable internet in my home. I have also purchased a linksys WRT54G. I have tried virtually everything I can think of to get it to work but I have had no such luck.

When he's done with the installation, he asks "Do you want WiFi?" I said of course I want wifi. It's a wireless modem. I recently learned that I can get more Mbps for less $$$ if I switch to one of Spectrum's current plans versus the Brighthouse plan I'm currently grandfathered in on. The thing is, my current plan is reliable and I'm a little nervous about changing things and getting new hardware (they say my old modem isn't compatible).
